A true 1080p projector small enough to carry in one hand. Cast from your phone over Wi-Fi, stand it on the included tripod, and put a 100-inch picture on the lounge-room wall.

Native 1080p, which is the bit that matters

Plenty of cheap projectors say "1080p" when they only accept a 1080p signal and then squeeze it onto a 720p panel. This one has a genuine 1920 × 1080 panel, so the detail that goes in is the detail you see. Text stays readable, faces stay sharp, and it holds up at large sizes where a 720p panel turns soft.

Cast straight from your phone

Built-in Wi-Fi means you can screencast from an iPhone, iPad, Android or laptop with no dongle and no cable. Plug something in instead if you prefer — there is HDMI, USB, AV and a 3.5mm audio out for a soundbar or speaker.

Projector connected and projecting a large image

How big a picture, and how far back?

Screen size 40 to 250 inches
Recommended distance 2–3 metres from the wall
Aspect ratio 16:9 or 4:3
Image flip 360° rotation — ceiling mount or table, either way up
Focus Manual focus ring

Two to three metres back gives the sweet spot for most lounge rooms. The tripod is included, so you are not stacking it on books to get the height right.

Honest notes before you buy

  • It needs a dark room. At 150 ANSI lumens this is an evening and curtains-drawn projector, not one that fights daylight. Any projector claiming to work in a bright room at this price is overstating it.
  • "3,500 lumens" is the LED figure, not the usable one. ANSI lumens is the measurement that means something, and this is 150. We would rather you knew which number to compare.
  • Manual focus. You turn the ring until it is sharp. It stays put once set.
  • 2.4GHz Wi-Fi only. Fine for casting; if your router is 5GHz-only you will need to enable the 2.4GHz band or use the HDMI input.
  • Netflix, Disney+ and other protected apps generally will not cast directly from a phone — that is a licensing restriction on all projectors, not a fault. An HDMI stick solves it.

Frequently asked questions

Is this really 1080p, or just 1080p-compatible?
Genuinely native 1920 × 1080. Many projectors at this price are 1280 × 720 panels that merely accept a 1080p input — this is not one of them.
Can I use it outdoors?
Yes, after dark. It needs mains power, so you will want an extension lead. On a sheet or a pale wall it works well for a backyard movie night.
How far from the wall does it need to be?
Two to three metres covers most rooms. Closer gives a smaller, brighter picture; further gives a bigger, dimmer one.
Can I cast Netflix from my phone?
Not directly. Netflix, Disney+ and similar block screen mirroring for copyright reasons on every projector. Plug in a streaming stick via HDMI and they work normally.
Is the built-in speaker any good?
It is fine for a quiet room. For a film night, run a soundbar or speaker from the 3.5mm audio output.
Does it come with a tripod?
Yes, a tripod is included, along with the remote, HDMI cable, AV cable and power cable.
How quickly does it ship?
It is in stock in Australia and dispatches straight away. Most metro addresses see it in 3 to 5 business days, tracked.
